Throughout the year, Historic New England offers programs and special events at its properties throughout the region. Programs range from walking tours to courses on architecture and decorative arts, from crafts and horticultural workshops to symposia, concerts and festivals. Museum Programs for Schools

Historic New England's school programs have earned national attention for the innovative ways they use historical resources to reinforce and enrich school curricula. Each program features a visit to a Historic New England house museum and extensive pre-visit and follow-up lesson plans and resources.

Students learn through a variety of approaches, including hands-on activities, role playing, drawing, and cooperative learning.
